The award for the Best State Tourism Board was based
on the following factors:
- Details of tourism strategies / master plans and details of actual
implementation against the plan.
- Key features of the policies to encourage tourism investment into
the state.
- Key features of the activities toward heritage conservation.
- Information on initiatives undertaken by the state to improve inbound
tourism into the state, new tourism circuits developed etc.
In addition to the above, all financial statements
submitted were certified by the Chartered Accountant of the nominee.
