Misha Holiday Home: A Complete Holiday Solution

Munnar, situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala, has sprawling tea plantations, picture-book towns, winding lanes and holiday facilities. The place is full of resorts and hotels catering to all standards of tourists. Misha Holiday Home is one of the oldest hotels, formed in 1987 to cater to the budget class travellers. Managed by managing director, Anish P Verghese, "This venture was basically aimed at providing accommodation to visitors. But now, the vision is to provide customer ecstasy and grow into reputed hotel known for complete holiday solutions." The idea according to Verghese was his father and mother. At present, this hotel has 18 rooms plus three dormitories and they also arrange for cottage accommodations (home stay). According to Verghese, "Munnar is a fast growing destination and this season has shown a better inflow of tourists compared to previous years". Munnar has a large inflow of domestic tourists especially from Gujarat and Mumbai during the Diwali holidays.

When asked about his vision for the future, he said, "Our vision is to provide all services in the tourism- sector on the long run. As the first step, we have come out with vehicles for sights seeing-Indica and Tempo Traveller." They are also planning of starting up with a separate office in their premises so as to provide all other services like trekking, guide service, vehicle arrangements, tourist information for inbound tourists.
