BC George Group To Launch Three Major Resort Projects In Kerala

Having envisaged the increasing tourism potential of Kerala better known as God's Own Country, the Dubai-based BC George Group is all set to launch its three major projects in the state. The Beach Resort at Cherai will be developed on five acres of land and will boast 30 cottages and rooms respectively. The Backwater Resort at Cheppanam that would be built on seven acres will have 40 cottages and the Hill-Station resort at Kuttikanam in 100 sprawling acres will have 30 cottages, an artificial lake, boating facilities and a professional Hotel Management and Catering Institute. All the resorts will showcase the best of facilities in accordance with international standards, including swimming pools and Ayurvedic centres.

The Group initially made its presence felt in the hospitality industry in 2001, with the launch of up-market family restaurant called Cross Roads. Subsequently, in September this year, the group set up a luxury business hotel in Kochi - Harbour View Residency.

Harbour View Residency is located at M G Road, with all facilities of a four-star hotel. The hotel is centrally air-conditioned with 55 well-furnished rooms, a multicuisine restaurant and coffee shop, conference and banquet halls and ample car parking area. Says Mathew Jose, general manager, Harbour View Residency, "We have a dedicated team of qualified professionals to serve our guests. 'Two Trees'- the restaurant is an architectural marvel with a central atrium, two tall trees and waterfalls to add grandeur to the ambience, that will soon be the talk of the town."

Its founder and managing director Babu C George, a prominent NRI entrepreneur heads the BC George group. He has a number of achievements to his credit in various fields, viz export of seafood, spices and dry foods, electro-mechanical engineering contracts and a host of other trading activities, in both Dubai and Saudi Arabia, for the past two decades.

The group already has a considerable share of its business in Kochi, with activities in exports, trading and real estate. Ever shine Properties, a group concern, also has a few city landmarks in the offing. These would include the commercial complex at N H Bypass that is nearing completion, construction of commercial complexes at M G Road will commence soon, a modern shopping mall at Palarivattom is all set to take off and 'Lake View Village' at Kundannoor with 150 villas and 100 flats is also in the pipeline.

However, 'Sonia Nagara', the on-going residential project at Palarivattom situated on four acres, consisting of villas and housing plots, is at its finishing stages.
