SWISS International Airlines will
soon fly its first Airbus A340-300, which was delivered recently,
from the manufacturers delivery centre in Toulouse to
its main base in Zurich, Switzerland. The aircraft is the
first of seven to be delivered to SWISS this year and meets
the airlines ambition to offer an improved premium product
on its long-haul network.
The A340-300s seating configuration
has been tailored to meet SWISS operational requirements with
228 passengers in three classes (eight in first-class, 48
in business-class and 172 in economy). This arrangement will
enhance passengers experience on board by providing
a high level of comfort. The A340 is also known worldwide
for having quiet cabin comfort in the sky an essential feature
on long-haul flights.
