Thomas Cook, Viator Offers Online Booking Of Major Attractions

Travellers interested in a Napa Valley wine tour, a visit to the London Eye, Madame Tussauds or tickets to a Broadway show can now book these attractions directly on Thomas Cook India’s website, www.thomascook.co.in. A strategic partnership was recently formed with Viator Inc, a global provider of destination content, technology and distribution services to the travel industry.

The website offers sightseeing thereby enabling travellers to plan and book more of their trip at one convenient online location. “Travellers today are looking for more than just airfare, lodging or holidays when they go online. The website now equips travellers with tickets for sightseeing tours, local events and attractions. Travellers can now book these services before they get to their destinations and can also be better prepared. Providing these services helps us continue to deliver on the vision of a one-stop-shop for travel services,” said Madhavan Menon, executive director of Thomas Cook.

Customers can now log on to the link and click the sightseeing options from the holidays section. They can then search their requirement based on destinations and interests. All services include detailed descriptions, instant pricing and availability. After reviewing the list of attractions, customers choose their activity, indicate the reservation date, obtain the final price and on online payment receive an online voucher, that serves as their ticket and confirmation. Customers just have to bring their printed voucher with them to the attraction.

“Viator’s relationship with thomascook.co.in enables us to deliver destination activities to more travellers than ever before. Booking destination activities in advance has always been a hassle for travellers. Now they can easily shop and pre-purchase some of the most popular tours and attractions in cities around the world when they book their travel on the website,” said Ashwini Kakkar, CEO and MD of Thomas Cook (India) Ltd.

Traveller have sightseeing tours, attractions and events in over 180 destinations including London, Paris, New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and San Francisco, with plans to expand to more destinations over the coming months.
