Northwest
Airlines recently announced that it has been named ‘Best
North American Airline’ by the readers of TTG Asia and
TTG China newspapers as part of the TTG Travel Awards 2002
programme.
“This
award demonstrates the continued focus and determination of
every Northwest Airlines employee throughout our fifteen city
Asian network to providing customers with a convenient and
efficient travel experience. We want our customers to know
that their reservations, frequent flier miles, and travel
plans continue to be safe with Northwest,” said Robert
Isom, Northwest’s vice-president of international.
Contenders in each of the award categories were nominated
by readers of TTG Asia and TTG China. Surveys were distributed
to the more than 28,000 readers of the two publications, and
nearly 28 per cent responded to this year’s survey. The
Best North American Airline award was accepted on Northwest’s
behalf by Perry Cantarutti, the carrier’s managing director,
marketing and distribution for Asia, at the 14th Travel Awards
ceremony in Bangkok.
