September
11th has dominated the world tourism industry like no other
event in the recent past. Till that eventful day terrorism
as a risk factor was destination specific. That day changed
everything and terrorism became a global risk factor.
Since the last convention, the Indian travel and tourism industry
has had to cope with many new challenges. The introduction
of the Euro, threat of war, travel advisories, commission
cuts, are the more significant of the new challenges. The
theme of this years convention is therefore Changing
Challenges.
The TAAI annual convention is more than a mere gathering of
travel agents. The meeting of the largest and the most respected
travel and tourism body in India is a much looked forward
to event and Kochi, the venue of the 2002 Congress, holds
lots of promises.
Going to Kerala is an experience indeed and TAAI would sincerely
like its delegates to get the most out of this experience.
With the support of the Kerala hotel industry, we have put
together some wonderful pre and post convention packages at
throwaway prices.
