In an effort to enhance the tourism potential of
Maharashtra, the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporations
(MTDC) Deccan Odyssey is all set to launch by November,
this year.

In a bid to enhance tourism potential between Ladakh
and Himachal Pradesh (HP), tourism minister, Jagmohan
will open the current route - the 475 kilometre Upchi
Manali road - that will connect two major tourist destinations,
thus enabling tourists a visit to both states in a safer
and shorter period of time.

Tourism Associations Demand Fair Share Of PM’s Relief
Package To Build Tourism Infrastructure
The region of Ladakh is not agreeable with the state
government over the relief package announced by the
Prime Minister to the state of Jammu & Kashmir on
his recent visit, since the state government has turned
its back on Ladakh and has no plans to start developmental
work the region out of the funds. In turn Ladakhis,
are demanding a fair share of the package to develop
their tourism industry, which is the only industry in
the region.
